| Description |
1965 Ford Cobra Shelby; This is a 65 Shelby Cobra Roadster replica made by Factory Five Racing Mark II which is not registered. The entire cockpit, trunk, and engine bay is 100% 6061-T6 aluminum. The main frame rail is 4” powder coated round tube with a fiberglass body. Powder coated roll bar and chrome bumperettes, a pair of 4-into-1 headers and side pipes. Over 300 hp in this car and will not have to pass TX state emissions. IT can be registered as a 1965 coupe in the state of TX. The car is not painted, but has had the mold lines removed and primered. Rear tires are 275/40 ZR 17 Nitto 555 and front are 245/45 ZR 17 Nitto 555. Engine: 1989 Ford EFI 5.0/302 engine completely rebuilt with all new internal bearings, all new Ford seals, and gaskets throughout the engine. New pilot bushing at rear of motor, new double roller timing chain with sprockets, new Ford Motorsport oil pump and shaft, new Ford Motorsport flywheel, new chrome water pump, ARP head bolts, and Ford Motorsport E303 cam. Heads are E7 that have been mildly ported on the exhaust side only. Polished EFI Spyder intake (polished) upgraded with Bullit fuel rails and steel braided lines attached to a Aeromotive fuel regulator. New starter, new Cobra polished valve covers, new plugs,and new Bosch wires. Transmission: 5 speed Borg Warner World Class T5 transmission. New Timken throw out bearing, new Valeo (Ford) clutch disc and pressure plate. Steering: Flaming Riverr Rack and Pinion 18:1. With a Flaming River steering shaft system. Cooling: New 3 row heavy duty radiator, new 180 degree thermostat, with electric cooling fan. Rear End: Rear End is a Ford 8.8 with traction lock and Ford Motorsport 3.73 gears with new bearings and seals. Brakes: Front brakes are stock Mustang disc brakes and rear brakes are Mustang stock drum brakes, all with 4 lug axles. Suspension: Front suspension is fully adjustable independent tubular with adjustable coil-over rod-end (Pro Shock) shocks. Rear suspension is a four link solid axle suspension that uses the Mustang coil springs fully adjustable. New Factory Five upper and lower control arms.
Fuel
System is a Mass Air density with stock Mustang fuel tank with new internal fuel pump and new fuel pump screen.
Minor work will have to be accomplished on this car. The speedo cable is missing, you will have to buy one and install it. The car needs to be put on a dyno and fine tuned. The body will have to be adjusted to fit the doors and hood pins installed. The interior has not been installed, except the seats.
